CBT Tools for Coaches

A practical course for helping professionals who want to incorporate tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy into their practice. The course covers the principles behind effective CBT, and introduces 6 techniques and how to use them.

Overview

The CBT Tools for Coaches programme is a practical, experiential online programme for coaches and other helping professionals who want to learn how to use techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy.

CBT has some great principles and techniques that can help us to work effectively with "stuck" patterns of thinking or behaviour. Whether that is people-pleasing or perfectionism, struggling to prioritise self-care, or persistent self-doubt and criticism, this course covers the CBT perspective on why these things happen, and introduces tools that you can use straight away.

There are six tools in total in this course, covering core CBT skills. You will learn how to help someone break down how they think, feel and act the way that they do, using a "five areas" model, as well as methods for tackling persistent negative thoughts and how to use experiments and exposure to truly help someone break out of a habits that may have lasted a lifetime.

8 ICF CCE points will be awarded for attending this course. 5 for Core Competencies and 3 for Resource Development.

DURATION

The course runs on Zoom for eight hours in total, split in two four-hour sessions one week apart.

QUESTIONS?

Please get in touch below or on ted@cbtted.co.uk

"My training had touched on CBT, but your course has blown my mind! You are an absolute genius explaining everything in a relatable and simple way. I have already applied the 5 ways and the continuum with a client, and feel I can serve my clients so much better already. Having said that, I'm still reflecting on everything we've learnt :-) Your short videos are super helpful too, thank you!" - Inga Crouch, Coach
